Books about Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The library at Holy Commmunion is a valuable resource for our parish. The center has an extensive collection of books, including children’s books, and over 500 videos. A computer is available for internet research. Volunteers are always welcome to work in the library. The library is open for use during the Christian education hour on Sunday mornings, on Wednesday evenings during Church Family Together and at other times to be announced. In 2007, the library added a second computer to enable easier searching of our collection. Soon the CHC card catalog will be available on the web as well as available in the library on our new
computer.

Honors Newborns
Did
you know that Holy Communion honors newborns in our parish
by adding a children's book to our library in their name?
Just give us the full name and birth date of your new bundle
of joy, and we will select a beautiful children's book in
their honor. Call the church office or email library@holycommunion.org.
A
Guide to Using the Library
The church library is open during regular office hours and around most worship service times. The librarian is available on Wednesday mornings and by appointment. For the most part, we are a self-serve library. Books are arranged by the Dewey Decimal System, just like the public library.
When you are browsing the shelves, look for the black, gold, and green spine labels that say “New.” These are the most recent additions to our collection. When you come through the door, you will notice displays to your right-- on the small tables and on the shelves. These are some of our newest books.
On the left-hand wall you will find the sign-out sheets. When you check a book or other material out from the library, you need to leave your name, phone number, and the title of the material on the sheet.
Materials are due back in 3 weeks. Please do not re-shelve returns yourself. Leave them in the baskets left on the cabinet for this purpose.
If you need assistance locating materials, feel free to ask anyone on staff, or email the librarian.
