Join the Journey in June!

Beginning May 25, we will be going to our Summer Worship Schedule. Our Sunday Worship times are as follows:
8:00 a.m.- Rite I service
10:00 a.m.- Rite II service
5:30- Taize/Celtic Holy Eucharist

• Sunday morning, June 1: Confirmation
The Rt. Rev. Don Johnson, Bishop of the Diocese of West Tennessee, will be at Holy Communion for his annual parish visit as well as to preside at confirmation. Confirmation will take place at the 10:00 a.m. service on June 1st. For more information about youth Confirmation please contact John Burruss at 767-6987 ext. 19

• Wednesday, June 4-25: Joseph’s Journey at CFT
Each Wednesday evening in June, Jospeh’s coat of many colors will come to life during Church Family Together. Our resident story teller, Beth Fischer, will begin painting the picture of this powerful Old Testament story. Through intriguing words, imaginative creations, and lively music, the journey of Joseph will become a timely lesson for our journey today. From intergenterational time, breakouts for our littlest ones, and adult conversation Church Family Together becomes the place in East Memphis to grow in community, spirit and faith in June. • Sunday morning, June 8: Parish Picnic
Join us for "PICKIN' and CHICKEN!" June 8th right after the 10:00 service. A CHC family picnic complete with banjo playing and fried chicken! This is Super Casual Sunday, so wear shorts, t-shirts and flip flops (to church!) and be ready to participate in games for adults and children. See Mark Rutenbar and your clergy like you have never seen them before! Chicken will be provided by the church. A donation of $10 per family would be appreciated. Families with last names A-M, please bring a side dish (potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, chips, fruit, etc.) Families with last names N-Z, please bring desserts! Bring picnic blankets. (Tables and chairs will also be provided). Guaranteed good time for all! Don't miss it!

• Wednesday, June 18: St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Choir
A major highlight of the adventure occurs June 18th at 7:00 p.m. as we host the Choir School of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church from Charlotte, North Carolina. During their performance they will be including favorite songs from the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” For more information about this event call the Music department at 767-6987 ext. 13.
