MUSIC AND CHOIR

Boys & Girls Choir (grades 3 & up of unchanged voices)

The Boys and Girls Choir, for unchanged treble voices in third grade and up, sings regularly for the 9 a.m. service September through May. The choir follows the training scheme of The
Royal School of Church Music, in which boys and girls learn music reading, sight-singing, good vocal production and Christian education. The choristers are rewarded with medals and colored ribbons, indicating the skill level attained. Food, parties and trips are also important parts of the choir experience.

St. Nicholas Choir (1st & 2nd grades)

The St. Nicholas Choir off ers an early introduction to the choir experience, giving children in fi rst and second grade their first look at what it means to serve their church while learning the basics about music and group singing. Singing on Sunday mornings every four to six weeks, and at other special occasions, also reinforces their knowledge of the seasons of the church year. By the end of their experience in the St. Nicholas Choir, children will be able to earn their cotta and move into the Boys and Girls Choir.
