Alice Duke Hollis came to us from St. George’s Independent School where she spent 22 years as a parent, volunteer, long-term substitute teacher an assistant teacher and an associate teacher. She also helped at Woodland Presbyterian School, Lausanne and Incarnation Catholic School.

Out of college, she was supervisor of corporate communications for MLG&W. She was active in the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), served as president of the Memphis chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). She also did freelance writing for Memphis companies and wrote for the Collierville newspaper.

Alice has taught both preschool and middle school Christian education classes and is a trained catechist for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Level I. She is responsible for formation classes (pre-k through 5th grade), Children’s Chapel, the nursery/toddler center, Wednesday night children’s activities, the Summer Sundays program and other events for children.

She is a member of the Collierville Friends of the Library and loves being in a book club with some of her Gamma Phi Beta sorority sisters.

She and her husband, Phil, live in Rossville in an 1869 home they are restoring. Their two adult sons, Ed and Peter, live in New Orleans and Boston.
