Elizabeth Coldiron

Minister of Hospitality

Holy Communion Staff

Elizabeth Coldiron joined the Holy Communion staff in August 2015 upon her return from Davis, Ca., where she served for a year in the Episcopal Service Corps with the Lutheran Episcopal Volunteer Network (LEVN) program. She worked as the assistant to the Reverend Kathy Hopner, director of children, youth and family ministries at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Sacramento.
While in California, Elizabeth also worked as an intern for the Lutheran Episcopal Campus Ministry at UC Davis. One of her favorite job duties was to serve as a listener at The Listening Post - multiple times a week, she would sit out in the UC Davis quad and simply listen to those who wished to be heard. She says these listening skills are used every day here at Holy Communion!
Prior to her year of service, Elizabeth graduated from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) and is a certified English teacher, grades 6-12. Elizabeth served as president of the National Council of Teachers of English chapter at LSU and was the treasurer of the English honor society Sigma Tau Delta. Music has served an important role in Elizabeth’s life. During her time at LSU, she served as a band manager for the Golden Band from Tigerland, was a member of the national honorary band fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi and served as president of the international music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota. She is also an alumna of Kappa Alpha Theta, the first Greek-letter fraternity for women.
In her downtime Elizabeth enjoys reading young adult literature, catching up with friends from around the country and meeting strangers wherever she goes.
