Kenyetta Powell


Holy Communion Staff

Kenyetta Powell joined the Holy Communion staff in November 2015. She began serving in the Episcopal Church in October 2010, working as a reading tutor at Emmanuel Center in Memphis. While at Emmanuel Center, she served as education coordinator and as assistant to the development director. In 2013, while continuing to work at Emmanuel Center, she was asked to serve at Emmanuel Episcopal Church as church administrator and communications assistant, working with ministry leaders in the church, and being responsible for all communications materials.

Kenyetta, who is bilingual in Spanish and English, grew up in Rockville, Maryland. She is a class of 2000 graduate of Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she majored in music theatre and minored in dance. She currently attends the University of Memphis, with a major in psychology and a minor in communications. Kenyetta studies cultures and loves conversation and traveling and exploring new places.
