Carter was born and raised in Memphis. After graduating from White Station High School, she went to Middle Tennessee State University where she studied child development/family studies and social work. In high school, Carter fell in love with the Episcopal youth community in West Tennessee. She worked at Camp Gailor-Maxon for six years and served as the camp's assistant director in 2017. Carter is passionate and dedicated to serving the youth of Holy Communion and building connections with them that will last far beyond high school. Some of her favorite things are BBQ nachos, Compline, camp songs, the Avett Brothers and The Office.
