Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we hope you will join Holy Communion as a way to deepen your connection to God and community. Join us for worship and introduce yourself to any member of our clergy or our greeters and ushers. Or, simply fill out this welcome card with your contact information and someone will be in touch with you soon.
If you are interested in becoming a member the process begins by contacting our Minister of Hospitality, Elizabeth Coldiron. If you are already a baptized or confirmed Episcopalian, the office will request a letter of transfer from your last Episcopal church. This letter will transfer your membership to Church of the Holy Communion. It's as simple as that!
IS CONFIRMATION FOR ME?
Confirmation is an important sacramental rite in the church and is a step one can take to make a “mature public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of Baptism and to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop.” (Book of Common Prayer, page 412.) Those interested in being confirmed prepare by taking our Inquirer's Class. The class is held in the spring with a clergyperson and is specifically for adults interested in confirmation. Many lifelong Episcopalians choose to take the Inquirer’s Class to reaffirm their faith. For more information, contact Minister of Hospitality Elizabeth Coldiron.
I'M INTERESTED IN BAPTISM FOR MYSELF AND/OR MY CHILD
Raising children is a high calling. We all seek the support of friends, extended family, and other resources in order to meet the needs and challenges of parenthood. Church of the Holy Communion provides many foundational classes, small groups and workshops for parents, as well as a place to encourage your children on their own journeys in faith. One step on this journey is the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Baptism is one of life’s most important decisions and joyous occasions. It is also a time for prayer, planning, preparation, and growth. The clergy of Church of the Holy Communion want this special occasion to be meaningful. Wherever you are on your own spiritual path, we want to be there to walk beside you. And as your children embark on their faith journeys, we want to provide them a nurturing place to explore their relationship with God.
Even if you have been baptized in another Christian denomination we will recognize you as a baptized member. Simply let us know the denomination and date of your baptism. For more information, contact Elizabeth Coldiron, Minister of Hospitality.
