Pastoral care is a vital aspect of life here at Holy Communion. Clergy and lay volunteers count it as a sacred privilege to journey with members of our parish family in times of celebration, critical care, and everything in between.
As a volunteer on a pastoral care team, you can offer your gifts of prayer and presence, flower delivery, meal delivery, communion, phone calls, cards, and other forms of compassion.
If you are interested in joining a pastoral care team, please contact the Rev. Jonathan Chesney, firstname.lastname@example.org or (901)767-6987.
Our clergy and lay ministers visit patients regularly in the hospital. If you are going to be in the hospital or know someone who is, please help us care for you and your loved ones by taking three simple steps:
Both the clergy and lay eucharist volunteers routinely take communion to those who, for various reasons, cannot attend church regularly. This ministry of Christ is rewarding both for those who visit and offer the sacrament and for those who receive it. We want to know of those who wish to receive communion as well as those who would like to be trained and licensed to offer it.
We would like to identify members of the parish who are generally unable to come to church so we can offer them regular visits and other care.
Please contact the Rev. Jonathan Chesney at email@example.com or through the church office at (901)767-6987 for all Pastoral Care needs.
